I have decided that it might be fun to write about my experience in planning a Disney wedding. First, a little about me. I am a very non traditional person, with a geeky and nerdy fiance, surrounded by a family that is full of its quirks and strangeness. Half my family is pagan, the others are non-religious, and my fiance is extremely Methodist. This presents a fun challenge from the beginning.
I decided long ago that I wanted a Disney wedding. Disney themed or at Disney itself, I just knew that I wanted to use my passion for Disney as my theme. This presented me with the perfect opportunity to work around my problem. Currently, I am planning to have a secular ceremony with family and friends close to home, with a subtle Disney theme. Then, I am planning a pagan inspired ceremony on Disney Property with just a few friends.
So far, I have booked my hotel room for Disney, started the process of booking the wedding itself, and made reservations for dinner. All for December. Of course, I should probably tell my family that I'm getting married this year.
That's all for now, but I intend to chronicle my journey into planning my wedding in less than 6 months.
